We Treat Your Kitchen & Bathroom As If They’re Ours –
That’s Why We Focus On Quality OVER Profit
Unless they happen to be in the kitchen and bathroom remodeling industry, most Kansas City homeowners have no clue about things like faucet weight, sand vs. acrylic grout, and bathroom backer boards – and there’s absolutely NO reason they should have to know about those things.
At Jericho, we strongly believe that every homeowner should be able to TRUST that their remodeler has their best interests at heart.
Because when remodeling companies DON’T have your satisfaction in mind – problems start popping up. There are just TOO many ways that unscrupulous remodelers can take advantage of homeowners by cutting corners.
Here are some of the ways Jericho chooses to place customer happiness ahead of profits when remodeling your kitchen and bathroom.
The 10 Pound Faucet
Who cares how much your faucet weighs? We do. Because it can tell you A LOT about the quality, durability, and performance of the faucet. We swear by super high quality Moen faucets that weigh approximately 10 pounds each. They’re gorgeous and they last FOREVER.
To put this in perspective, other remodeling companies use cheap, flimsy faucets that weigh around 1.5 pounds. They might look good in the beginning, and even do an ok job for the short term – but you better believe you’ll be needing to replace them in a few years.
If you want to NEVER have to worry about your faucet giving out on you, go with a fully-metal Moen faucet from Jericho. When it comes to faucets – and every other kitchen and bathroom product – we’re sticklers for quality.
Waterproof Grout
If this seems kind of obvious to you, it should. Why would anyone choose to put non-waterproof grout in an area that is constantly exposed to water? Well, unfortunately many remodeling companies do. The reason? Non-waterproof sand-based grout is ridiculously cheap. Cheap enough to convince BATHROOM remodeling companies to use it.
A bathroom is the one room in your home that’s supposed to be exposed to water. And it needs to be designed with that in mind. That’s why, when Jericho remodels your bathroom we wouldn’t even think of using a product that’s not waterproof, like sand-based grout. We go for the gold standard in grout – acrylic-based grout that’s waterproof, flexible, and stain-resistant.
Mold-Resistant Backer Boards
Mold inspires dread and revulsion – for good reason. It’s unsightly, it’s bad for your health, and it’s just plain nasty. That’s why the backer boards in your shower and bathtub absolutely MUST be waterproof and mold resistant. Otherwise, you’re providing an open invitation to mold and mildew.
You’d be surprised how many bathroom remodeling companies choose to scrimp when it comes to proper backer boards. Instead of making sure your bathroom is waterproof, they install cheaper backer boards that DON’T do a good job of stopping water penetration…and the resulting mold.
