Customer References

How Many References Should You Request
From A Remodeler?

We Recommend Asking For A Minimum Of 100 Recent Customers.

If That Sounds Like A Lot, Read On To Discover Why We Say That.

Customer References

We think getting customer references is essential when deciding what Kansas City remodeling company is the right one for your project.

In fact, you should not settle for anything less than 100 references (and make sure they are references from recent projects).

Why so many… it’s not like you are going to call 100 people, right?

It’s true that no one would call all 100 names. But any Kansas City remodeler that confidently hands you a list of more than 100 recent customers and says “call any name on this list and ask about our service and results” is a company that must be delivering great results all the time.

Quite frankly, almost any Kansas City remodeling company – good, bad, or ugly – can come up with a few names of satisfied customers. But only the ‘Best of the Best’ has the kind of consistent results that enable them to provide you with 100 or more customers you can call.

As we mentioned above, it’s also important that these references be from recent projects. In the last 6 months ideally, and at least within the last year. You don’t want a contractor that can only dust-off a few tried and true references because that’s all they have!

So… How Many Should You Call?

When it comes to how many references you should actually call, that really is based on your preferences. The best answer we know is: “as many as you need to talk to in order to feel comfortable that you are making a great decision.” For some people, it’s one. For others, it’s five. Others might talk to more than 10. We give you our list, and you’re in the driver’s seat.

A Few Questions To Get You Started

When you meet with Jericho for an initial consultation, we’ll give you our list of references. Some people feel a touch awkward about calling other homeowners. If that’s you, here’s a few suggested questions to get you started:

  • Why did you choose Jericho Home Improvement?
  • What would you say about the attitude and quality of the installers?
  • On a scale of 1-4 (four being highest) how would you rate your overall experience?
  • If you could do it all over again, would you pick Jericho?
